Lewandowski: I couldn’t spend my whole career in Germany, I couldn’t wait for Barca

Robert Lewandowski, the Barcelona striker, who arrived from Bayern Munich this summer, made several statements to “La Liga World”. There he commented on his move to the Catalan club:

“When I first heard about the interest, it became clear to me that it was the perfect time to move. That was true for me and the team. I didn’t want to spend my entire career in the same league.

In Germany everything was going very well, but I knew it was time to move to La Liga and take another step in my career. It’s a big challenge, but I’m ready.

I have always dreamed of playing in La Liga and I am very happy to be able to do so at Barcelona. We hope the fans are very happy at the end of the season.

I think it’s been too long without a trophy for this club, it’s time to come back and I’m sure it will happen.”
